Born in 1985 in South Africa, Euodia Roets is a watercolour artist working from her studio in Cape Town. She studied Visual Communications at AAA School in Cape Town, graduating in 2008. After a year as a graphic designer, she taught herself to paint in 2010. Her artistic journey expanded into surface design, where her watercolour artworks were printed onto linen and transformed into various products. After eight years in this field, she returned to her original medium, focusing on creating and selling original works on paper and canvas.

Roets’s work explores human emotion, capturing nuanced expressions that reveal the complexities of human nature. Her loose, sometimes erratic brushstrokes amplify these emotions. Often obscuring identities, she uses the ethereal nature of watercolour and the interplay of light and shadow to veil the eyes, inviting viewers to engage with the unseen and the unspoken.
